This will display an error and load the history if the message is not loaded. I don't think there is a good way for the worker to notify the user when the message is loaded. Neither can it perform the jump and blocking until the event is loaded might be to long.
You also mentioned binding the action to
<C-]>but I think you meant setting a macro inconfig.tomland no hardcoded default.
